We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager for our new plant opening in Phoenix, AZ. This is a great opportunity for a talented warehousing professional that is looking for opportunity to work with an aggressively growing company. This position will require a leader who is can competently navigate through an advanced Warehouse Management System (WMS) in order to successfully execute all daily aspects of the “Inbound & Outbound” Distribution operations including Shipping & Warehousing, Receiving, Replenishments, Raw Material Requisitions, Document Processing, Premium Fulfillment, Inventory Control, and Product Security in a manner that is consistent with world class business expectations.
What will this position be responsible for?
- Premier distribution operations inclusive of executing supply chain & logistic operation strategies to optimize performance, quality and reduction in costs.
- Implement world-class service levels (internal response, 100% order accuracy rates, and inventory management & accuracy objectives) consistent with business needs and future requirements while managing day-to-day activities to achieve strategic objectives.
- Must be able to manage all distribution maintenance requirements, including dock door equipment, forklifts, RF Scanners, and shipping PC’s & printers.
- Ensure all OSHA and regulatory provisions are in compliance and manage safety training programs and practices.
- Continually improve team's organization effectiveness and value while developing and implementing standard operating procedures (SOP).
- Deploy continuous effort to improve distribution operations, reduce freight and operating costs, streamline work processes, and work collaboratively to provide quality seamless customer service.
- Proactively seek new and innovative distribution strategies to promote 'best in class' practices.
- Establish work schedules and ensure that the schedules are correctly implemented and that jobs are assigned effectively and completed properly by delegating responsibilities and holding individuals accountable for performance expectations.
What is need to be considered?
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Organizational Management, Logistics or related field, MBA is preferred
- More than 5 years experience in managing 100,000+ sq. ft. warehouse operations
- In depth knowledge of distribution and warehouse functions, work group dynamics, measurement systems (metrics), and continuous process improvement techniques.
- Excellent people management skills, including conflict resolution, coaching and developing others, promoting teamwork and performance management
- Strong decision making skills and the ability to link business objectives to business activities.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal skills, with a strong sense of urgency.
- Hands on experience with developing, implementing and managing distribution operations with expertise in receiving, WIP processing and distribution/shipping. APICS certification preferred.
- Must have extensive experience utilizing ERP/WMS systems to maximize automated systems and must be able to be a resource for systems related issues/questions.
- Ability to build strong, positive rapport with associates in a team environment; ability to lead through personal example that communicates integrity, core values and consistency in decision making.
- Ability to implement site standards and best practices to include policies, procedures and work flow development.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced multi-tasking environment and to manage multiple projects/priorities to meet specific goals & deadlines.
