Quality Assurance Manager - Phoenix, AZ

We are looking for experienced Quality Assurance Manager to support a new plant opening in Phoenix, AZ.   This position will be responsible for sample collection, microbiological testing, and chemical batching for a bottled water manufacturer.  We're seeking motivated individuals who are eager to work within a plant team environment.

What will be the responsibilities of this position?
  • Blend raw materials to produce mineral batches according to company standards and to meet production demand
  • Laboratory duties include microbiological testing of finished product and environmental monitoring
  • Sanitize all containers and equipment as needed
  • Stock and rotate chemicals and raw materials
  • Complete daily paperwork and report results to Regional QA Manager
  • Perform daily audits of plant sanitation and machine operation functions and report results
  • Analyze samples to ensure it meets customer's specification (Flavor and other quality attributes)
  • Ensure that out on production floor all parameters of the quality manual are being adhered to and maintained
  • Document results from quality checks to different pieces of equipment (Filler, labeler, packer)
  • Calibrate lab and line equipment for proper and accurate result achievement
  • Wear company issued shirt, hat, safety glasses, and hairnet in production area at all times


Job Requirements:

  • B.S. or Associates, Technical, or Vocational Degree.  High School diploma or GED required
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Must be able to work well with people on all levels

  • Available to work overtime as needed.  Work schedule is 8AM – 5PM, Monday – Friday.  Must be able to work under pressure in a very fast paced environment.
  • Proficiency in performing required tests for raw materials, ingredients and finished products to comply with established guidelines.
  • Experience in Quality Assurance/Production in a food/beverage processing environment is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with lab safety and handling of hazardous materials
  • Basic understanding of microbiology, chemistry, and sanitation is a plus
  • Computer skills: MS Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Able to work effectively with little supervision
  • Ability to talk, hear, see, manual dexterity, stoop, bend, twist and lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
