Human Resource Manager/Plant Administrator - Phoenix, AZ

Niagara Bottling has been in business for 46 years. We operate world class bottling plants and are opening new facilities every year. We have an IMMEDIATE opening for a Human Resources Manager.  We are seeking a bright, experienced Human Resources Generalist to handle day to day HR responsibilities for a new facility in Phoenix.

SUMMARY

The HR Manager reports to the National HR Director and partners with the plant and corporate leadership to meet corporate standards and plant production goals. The HR Manager will be highly visible in the plant and work with the entire plant team. The position will oversee; plant level recruiting and on-boarding, payroll, benefits administration, employee relations, OSHA and work injuries, leaves of absence, FMLA and plant training.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Time clock management / payroll liaison
  • Administer Benefits enrollment and changes
  • Workers’ compensation reporting, manage process for employee timely Return to Work
  • Recruiting and hiring hourly employees, track and process paperwork, background checks and drug testing
  • New Hire orientation
  • Work with supervisors and Plant Manager on employee relations issues and investigations
  • Coach managers
  • Administer annual performance review process
  • FMLA / LOA
  • Take initiative to stay current on HR trends and laws
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Answers telephone, greets visitors and direct to appropriate party
  • Provides employment applications to walk in candidates
  • Receives incoming mail, sorts and distributes, outgoing mail
  • Orders and monitors office supplies and break room supplies

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors Degree required
  • Extensive experience with investigations and employee relations
  • Bilingual Spanish is HIGHLY preferred
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of HR Management experience
  • PHR Certification is preferred
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Prior supervisory or team leadership experience is required
  • Current knowledge of California employment laws
  • Organized and able to prioritize work 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • Strong problem solving skills 
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively work with all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to set up HR processes in a fast growing environment
